  • Brizendine Brothers Nature Park

    Pritchett Drive | Greenville, KY 42345

    The Brizendine Brothers Nature Park is a pristine 12-acre woodland park. Upon entering the park all visitors are greeted at the trail head by “Yogi,” a 7′ chainsaw sculptured bear, before they begin the 1/2 mile journey through the woodlands.

    There are three beautiful footbridges, totaling 217 linear feet. Dispersed throughout the park are three picnic tables, Red Cedar split-log benches and numerous vegetative signs, identifying native trees. The park is also home to deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, squirrels, butterflies and numerous native birds.

    To create a truly serene and relaxing experience, a running stream with a 4′ waterfall and pond have been added.

    Come and enjoy God’s creation while taking a leisurely stroll along a crushed gravel path through the woods at the Brizendine Brothers Nature Park!

  • Greenville Municipal Pool

    The Greenville Municipal pool is located 2 blocks east of downtown Greenville. The pool is apart of the Morgan Memorial Park, which also offers basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds, and a picnic pavilion. This pool offers a place to cool off in the summer sun! The Olympic sized swimming pool is open to the general public each summer. The pool typically opens Memorial Day weekend and closes for the winter on Labor Day weekend. A lifeguard is on duty.

    It is also a great place to host a private or semi-private pool party for birthdays or family reunions! The picnic shelters are used on a ‘first come first serve” basis, but the pool can be rented for private pool parties in the evening by calling the Greenville City Pool at (270) 338-1613.

  • Lake Malone State Park

    Lake MaloneSpanning 788 acres, Lake Malone captures Kentucky’s true and natural beauty. The lake is enclosed by dramatic 50-foot sandstone bluffs rising above the water’s edge and is also surrounded by hardwood forests. Without a doubt, Lake Malone is truly breathtaking!

    Discover the beautiful landscape of Lake Malone State Park on the 1.5-mile Laurel Trail or the .25-mile Wildflower Trail. In addition to the lake, these easy-rated hiking trails also provide picturesque views of many rock walls, once used as shelters by Native Americans. Mountain laurel, holly, dogwood as well as wildflowers provide a rich tapestry of native flora. Natural wonders abound in this secluded wilderness!

    For the true outdoors men, enjoy a symphony of starlight and a chorus of nature camping amid the great outdoors! Around 30 primitive sites are available for tent camping. Twenty five campsites equipped with water and electric hookups are also available to accommodate recreational vehicles. A central service building in the campground offers showers, rest rooms, as well as laundry facilities; and for completed camping convenience, campsites have grills and picnic tables. Open for season from mid-March to mid-November.

  • Luzerne Lake City Park

    Highway 189 Bypass | Greenville, KY 42345

    Luzerne Lake City Park was developed during the 2013-2014 calendar year. This pristine 52-acre lake is located on the west side of the Highway 189 Bypass just south of the Highway 601 intersection on the west side of Greenville. Luzerne Lake City Park features a large picnic pavilion, parking lot and 2-mile walking trail around the perimeter of the lake. One will encounter three footbridges spanning over water inlets and a relaxing water feature near the pavilion. Paddle boats, canoes, as well as trolling motor boats are allowed on the lake. Come see and experience a little outdoor fun, with a view unlike any other in the city!!

  • Morgan Memorial Park

    Morgan Memorial Park is a 15 acre park that is open year round. The park is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Greenville and it is adjacent to the Brizendine Brothers Nature Park. The park includes three picnic pavilions, playground, tennis courts, public pool, basketball court, as well as an amphitheater. Often used for family reunions and birthday parties, the park is a perfect venue because it offers something for everyone!

  • Muhlenberg County Park

    200 County Park Drive | Greenville, KY 42345

    The Muhlenberg County Park is a state-of-the-art sports facility adjacent to the Muhlenberg County High School west campus. The park features the “Ray Jones Family Athletic Complex ,” which was awarded the “2018 Facility of the Year” by Kentucky Parks and Recreation Society. The complex includes 5 youth baseball/softball fields, covered seating, and dugouts. The park consists of batting cages, five tennis courts, two basketball courts, one sand volleyball court, along with two children’s playgrounds. In addition, a walking trail, restrooms, a full service concession stand and a community meeting room are also onsite. The facility is certainly one of the most advanced in Western Kentucky and attracts visitors from across the area.

    The park also plays host to numerous tournaments and events each year including BPA, USSA and USSFA tourneys, charity tournaments, district tournaments and much more. In addition to this wonderful park system, they are also looking to build an indoor recreation facility on the property!

    The Muhlenberg County Rails to Trails is an extremely popular, six mile trail that links, Greenville, Powderly, and Central City. The multi-use, handicapped accessible trail also includes a covered bridge, antique caboose and rest areas. This unique trail is paved for hikers, bikers, roller bladers and horseback riders. In addition, you can see sightings of rare birds and animals in their natural habitats as you explore the trail from Greenville to Central City.

    From Greenville Rails to Trails runs along Highway 62 then turns into the woods in Powderly, runs through the everglades and then back into the woods of Central City, finally letting out at the Central City Convention Center.
