On July 21st, things heat up as Greenville welcomes award-winning country artist Phil Vassar to “Saturdays on the Square”! Vassar is a multi-faceted musician with multiple hits as a songwriter AND performer. His incisive, soulful lyrics and infectious melodies capture audiences of all ages that span the globe with followers in 45+ countries and 6 continents. Vassar has 8 critically-acclaimed albums to his credit and was honored as the ACM Top New Male Vocalist, ASCAP Songwriter of the Year twice, Billboard Country Song Writer of the Year and received a Daytime Emmy nomination for “Outstanding Original Song.” Across those 8 critically acclaimed albums he has had 10 number one hits, 15 top ten and 26 top forty songs. General Concert Info: These events are being hosted by the Greenville Tourism Commission and are FREE to the public. For the 2018 season all concerts will take place on a stage setup on Veterans Plaza adjacent to Main Street each week. Each concert will begin at 8:00 pm and the street will close at 5:00 pm or earlier to give patrons an opportunity to set–up their seats. Parking will be available throughout downtown and food vendors will be on the square for each concert. Attendees are encouraged to come early, set up lawn chairs, explore downtown and enjoy a pre-show dinner in a Greenville restaurant.

SPECIAL NOTE: Given the concerts are hosted outdoors, mother-nature always plays a factor. Every effort will be made to have the concerts no matter the weather. For this concert, July 21st featuring Phil Vassar the Felix E. Martin Jr Hall, located at 501 Robert Draper Way, has been designated the backup location. Should this concert be moved to Felix E. Martin Jr. Hall the public would be notified via the Greenville Tourism Commission Facebook page and website. However, this facility has limited capacity and tickets would be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis with details on how to obtain those FREE tickets being announced the day of the event. Please remember that as long as the weather is clear and safe at 8:00 pm in downtown Greenville the show will go on.
