Historic Gristmill Stone
100 S Main Street – Adjacent to Veterans Mall
Greenville, KY 42345
The Historic Gristmill Stone sits adjacent to the Veterans Mall, at the foundation of the Muhlenberg County Courthouse. John Prine’s famous song, “Paradise” put Muhlenberg County on the map. As Prine sang about his childhood memories of the small coal community, it soon became a household name! The display serves as a tribute to John Prine and includes photos from the community and song lyrics. It also includes an interactive button that plays Prine’s “Paradise.” In addition to the marker, a gristmill stone from the Paradise community is on display. Not to be missed, The Historic Gristmill Stone is a photo-op in downtown that is certainly unique!
